The lives of lions in the Serengeti, dogs pictured mid-bath and exhausted jockeys are among the stunning winners of the prestigious Sony World Photography Awards. Sara Lewkowicz, from the USA, was the overall winner and was honored with the prestigious L’Iris d’Or Award. Her haunting portrayal of domestic violence also won the ‘Contemporary Issues’ category.
The competition attracted more than 139,000 entries from 166 countries - the most in its history. The winners of the contest will be exhibited at Somerset House, London, from May 1.
