Review on the Sunsilk Real FM 97.5 movie by Anurag Basu

I have never been to any movie screening as this was my first invitation from Indiblogger for the screening which is going to showcase on MTV, I was quite excited. I also took my 3yr old daughter for the screening without having any idea of how she would react to the dark room like a theatre or cinema. But during the entire movie I was pretty surprised at how she was engrossed in the act, songs and pop-corn.

This is a very interesting story of how a daughter supports her father in his time of need and surpasses all the challenges by bringing new and innovative ideas to infuse life into a dying venture.
Normally you have the hindi dramas of parents supporting their kids but in this story the daughter takes over a dying radio station, after her father suffers a heart attack due to certain labour problems at the station. The occasion in focus is "India's Independence Day", when she with a group of friends first struggle with the mechanics of the station and later come up with a unique concept of merging the songs in languages spoken across the nation. The first song from Kashmir gave me goose bumps and made this screening an instant hit for me. I also felt connected somewhere when I got to hear my mother-tongue.
Actors were fresh and enthusiastic- each had their own style of performing. The standup comedian was a bit boring initially but once he got into the act of his expertise it was pretty funny, asking the public on which type of rules they would want to break, was very real and hilarious. Most of all it was well connected with the Sunsilk Concept - Recharge your life.
The ending was a usual ending with the company being given a contract but what got me more curious was if Rhea, the lead actor would choose between the Radio Jockey or the standup comedian. That would have been quite a different ending from the usual expectations.
After the Screening effects-
When I took my kid to freshen-up, she was actually humming the tune of "Choti Choti", I was pretty impressed that how the song had caught her attention.
Stars(4 stars) - Worth a watch, Time Wasool(didn't pay money anyways... ha ha ha)
